CANYON CITY – A Grant County man will be going to prison following guilty pleas across several cases. Grant County Circuit Court documents indicate that Caleb Joe Vielma, 36, pleaded guilty to Burglary in the First Degree and two counts of Theft in the First Degree, committed in October of 2023; as well as Theft in the Second Degree committed in August of 2023; and two counts of Failure to Appear committed in June of 2025.
In total, Vielma was sentenced to 20 months in prison with the Oregon Department of Corrections, 12 months on Post-Prison Supervision, and ordered to pay a total of $8,289.01 in restitution. The guilty pleas were entered December 1st, 2025.
Vielma was arrested on a Grant County warrant at a location on B Avenue in Seneca in July of 2025. Also arrested at that location and time was Sierra Dahlen, 25, on a charge of Hindering Prosecution. Dahlen entered a Diversion Agreement with Grant County Circuit Court for 180 days in November, which includes 80 hours of community service and other conditions.
