PENDLETON – (News release from the Umatilla County District Attorney’s Office) Terry Wayne Womack (75) was sentenced to 60 months (5 years) probation after pleading guilty to Sexual Abuse in the Third Degree.

An exhaustive investigation by the Pendleton Police Department from October of 2024 having lost his license in 2006 and, in the process of doing that chiropractic work, had nonconsensual sexual contact with one of his “patients.” Mr. Womack’s license was revoked in 2006 by the Oregon Board of Chiropractic Examiners after 11 women disclosed inappropriate sexual touching. Mr. Womack was subsequently indicted, tried, and acquitted of sex abuse charges based on similar conduct in Umatilla County in 2008.

The Pendleton Police Department’s investigation included conducting surveillance on the locations where Mr. Womack was performing unlawful chiropractic services, as well as serving search warrants on those locations, his phone, as well as on Mr. Womack’s Prineville residence.

On March 17, 2026, Mr. Womack was sentenced by Umatilla County Circuit Court Judge Jon Lieuallen. As part of his sentence, in addition to 60 months of bench probation, Mr. Womack is prohibited from having unsupervised contact with minors, must take sex offender classes, and also must register as a sex offender.

District Attorney (Dan) Primus would like to thank the Pendleton Police Department, and specifically the Pendleton Police Department’s detective unit, for their hard work in investigating this case. He would encourage anyone who has been a victim of sexual abuse to contact law enforcement and make a report.
