Prescribed fire treatment set for two units on Blue Mt. Ranger Dist.

PRAIRIE CITY – Prescribed burning is set to take place this week on the Blue Mountain Ranger District of the Malheur National Forest.

John Day Interagency Dispatch reports that around 286 acres of fire treatment is planned for the Magone PCT and Crown PCT burn units, about 4 miles north of Prairie City. Ignitions will take place beginning today, December 1^st. Smoke may be visible in the area for several days. If you have questions, call JDIDC at (541) 575-1321.
