Prescribed burning to take place off the Middle Fork of the John Day River

JOHN DAY – Prescribed burning operations are set to take place near the Middle Fork, according to the latest release from the John Day Interagency Dispatch Center. 147 acres of burn treatment is planned for the Cup and Tin Pile Units, about 2 miles up Forest Service Road 2010. The Blue Mountain Ranger District is conducting the operations, which are planned for October 12th through the 22nd, depending on weather and other factors. Find the dispatch center’s release below:
