Prairie City to start planning recreation improvements

PRAIRIE CITY – Prairie City Mayor Ed Clark was on KJDY’s Coffee Time recently to discuss a few updates in town. Mayor Clark said the town has received a planning grant to look into installing new parks and recreation features:
“We were granted $35,000 from the Oregon Parks and Rec. Department to go ahead and build a planning document for recreation for the Town of Prairie City. So, we put in for this grant, got it, and now we can go ahead and get a contractor to help us develop a plan.”
The Mayor said there will be town halls and discussions on the subject in the future.
