PRAIRIE CITY – Prairie City Mayor Scott Officer was in the KJDY/News 102 Newsroom earlier this week and explained that there have been a few things around City Hall that he’s been working to “freshen up,” including the Employee Handbook:

“We have a new Employee Policy Handbook. It’s a the final review stage with the city attorney. We should have that by April. That’s a long time overdue, I think our old Employee Handbook is like, 25 years old. So, we’re going to be getting that adopted. That’s going to help us out a lot—there’s guidelines from the State that say that should be updated and kept up a little bit more than once every 25 years.”

The City Hall in Prairie City is open 9am until 5pm Monday through Friday. Call them at (541) 820-3506.
