Prairie City students get special rewards for good attendance

PRAIRIE CITY – Schools all throughout Oregon are making efforts to increase student attendance, and Prairie City School is no different. “Every Day Matters” Coordinator Bonni Booth was recently on KJDY’s Coffee time, and said the students at Prairie City get a special treat with good attendance:
“Prairie is letting me us a cart that is kind of a spin-off from the ‘Happy Cart’ that Casey [Hallgarth} uses for teachers.
It’s really colorful, it lights up, it’s very kid centric. I had a blast decorating it earlier this week, and it is filled with all kinds of really wonderful items that the kids will be able to choose from when they participate and are successful in the attendance challenge.”
