PRAIRIE CITY – Prairie City Schools Superintendent Casey Hallgarth was in the newsroom recently, and said there has been a group meeting to formulate the school’s strategic plan for the next five years:
“We met with a gentleman, a good friend of mine, Jerry Colonna. He helped us do our last strategic plan, so he came in. We had a team of 14 community members including some teachers, some staff, and we had a student on this committee. We met six times, once-a-month, every Friday for six hours.”
Hallgarth said the next steps will be for the group to take their ideas to the Budget Committee, and if approved, the Strategic Plan will go into effect beginning in July of 2024.
