PRAIRIE CITY – Grant County Public Health Administrator Jessica Winegar recently presented a public health update to the Grant County Court. Winegar mentioned that there is a new clinic in the Bates Early Learning building of the Prairie City School campus.

The Prairie City School-Based Health Center opened on December 28th, and offers a full range of services:

“Everything that we provide at the health department. So—primary care, urgent care, vaccines, reproductive health care—everything.”

Winegar said the clinic is available not only to students, but community members as well.

The Bates Early Learning building will have its Grand Opening on Tuesday, February 27th at 8 a.m. when the first preschool class will begin. A community walk-through is planned later in the day beginning at 3:30 p.m.
