PRAIRIE CITY – Prairie City School Superintendent Casey Hallgarth was on KJDY’s Coffee Time and mentioned that Prairie City Schools, alongside Dayville School, were each awarded $125,000 toward housing from the Eastern Oregon Regional Educator Network:

“We’ll be using that to purchase some teacher housing. We’re looking into that for next fall. We’re all struggling in the county to find employees, especially teachers.

So, this will be a good addition for us, and maybe make us a little more marketable…because we might have a couple of positions opening up for the school year.”
