Prairie City Panthers getting ready for the sports season

PRAIRIE CITY – The Prairie City Panthers are getting ready to start their schoolyear on September 5th. Superintendent Casey Hallgarth was in our newsroom recently and said for the Panthers who’d like to be involved in sports, the annual sports physicals will be held this Friday:
“August 11th from eight [A.M.] until they get done, we do our yearly sports physicals with Dr. Caughlin. It’s free as long as you bring a couple of cans of food, we do a little can drive thing with that.
It starts at eight o’clock, at the Prairie City Old Gym, and it goes from eight until the last kid is done.”
Hallgarth also mentioned that the Panthers’ new scoreboard at the football field should be installed and ready to go by their first home game.
