Grant Union hosting High Desert League Tournament

PRAIRIE CITY – The Prairie City Panther Basketball program have their eyes on the road to state, but first, they’ll need a couple of wins in the league tournament. The High Desert League tournament begins today at Grant Union High School in John Day at 1 p.m.
The Panther Girls are ranked #2 in the western portion of the league and will face #3-eastern-ranked Four Rivers at 7 p.m. this evening. The winning team of that matchup will play in Game 4 against Jordan Valley on Friday.
The Panther Boys will be playing in Game 2 against the Jordan Valley Mustangs. The boys are also ranked #2 in the western portion of the league and will tip off against the Mustangs at 8:45 p.m. Thursday evening. The winner of Game 2 will face #1-eastern-ranked Adrian on Friday.
