HARNEY / GRANT COUNTIES – UPDATE FROM OTEC: “This morning, multiple power outages were reported in Grant and Harney counties. This is the time of year when we see heavy snow loads on power lines which can cause breakers to open, resulting in a power outage. Once a breaker is open, the lines must be cleared and patrolled before the crew can close the breaker and restore power.
As of 8:45 a.m. We have multiple crews working to restore power as quickly as it is safe to do so. We anticipate power restoration to continue throughout the morning but please be advised that some of the outages may last until early afternoon. Thank you, we appreciate your patience.”
