PASCO — The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Pasco Police Department with a possible DUI involving a potato truck around Kartchner Street and U.S. 395 just before 7 p.m. Sunday.
Pasco police asked sheriff deputies to use spike strips to disable the vehicle, which hit the spike strips at the Kartchner Street and U.S. 395 offramp. The truck lost its right front tire and continued to look up U.S. 395 north to Foster Wells Road and then back south on U.S. 395.
The truck caught fire just south of the Kartchner Street overpass. The driver and only occupant of the potato truck then ran from the vehicle and was taken into custody by Pasco police officers.
