Portions of Washington Ave and Depot St. closed in La Grande on March 17

LA GRANDE – (Release from La Grande Public Works) On Tuesday, March 17th 2026, beginning at 6:00 AM, La Grande Public Works will close Washington Ave from 4th St. to Elm and Depot St., from Adams to 5th St, please see attached map. This closure is to facilitate excavation and the installation of a new water line inside the intersection of Washington and Depot. For public and utility worker safety, please avoid the area if possible.
Access to the Post Office will be available from Elm and 6th streets. No traffic will be able to enter the intersection of Washington and Depot until work is completed and crews have vacated the work zone. If you have any questions, please reach out to Public Works at 541-962-1325.
