UMATILLA COUNTY – The Oregon Department of Transportation has closed Highway 207 at milepost 1 to all commercial traffic because of a collapse of the road’s surface. The closure, which was announced Sunday morning was still in effect when checked Sunday night.

The closure is one mile south of the intersection with the Columbia River Highway (U.S. 30). Delays of 20 minutes to up to two hours are reported. Traffic is reduced to a single lane. People should use caution as workers are present.

Trucks are advised to use U.S. 395 as an alternate route.
