Plaza Way is one-way during the day

WALLA WALLA – Beginning today (Tuesday) traffic is one way in the southbound direction only during daytime non-construction hours . When work begins at 7 p.m., Plaza Way between State Route 125 and Village Way is closed with access from westbound Tietan to the Plaza Shopping Center.
This week, the workers are creating an infiltration trench and performing utility and concrete work. Next week, their attention will turn to roadway surface work.
The detour for the current stage is Third Avenue, Orchard Street, and Whitney Road. Access to the Plaza Shopping Center area from the east will be from the Plaza/Tietan intersection. Access to the Stone Hut, Blue Palm, and the Brik will be from Tietan behind the Stone Hut. Access to Starbucks and Serenity Day Spa will be from southbound Plaza Way only. Miracle Ear, Great Clips, Serenity, and Starbucks will close prior to the road closures for construction.
