Plan for blasting in Hells Canyon

HELLS CANYON – Blasting work in the Hells Canyon area will impact travelers today and tomorrow, July 18 and 19 according to Idaho Power. The blasting will impact travel south of Big Bar at Eckels Creek (mile marker 13). Work will take place between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. MDT both days. The road will be open from 12 to 1 p.m. Outside of that time, drivers should expect delays of up to an hour.
