Pioneer Park open house is this evening

WALLA WALLA – As improvements to pedestrian safety and accessibility are being planned in the vicinity of Pioneer Park, the city of Walla Walla will share information on the project with the community tonight (Thursday). An open house will be held from 6-7 p.m. at the Pioneer Park Garden Center, 940 East Alder Street.
The project is the result of public input received during the development of the city’s American with Disabilities Act transition plan in 2020. During the process, the city received numerous comments and concerns about pedestrian safety and accessibility around Pioneer Park. Additionally, recent public input has highlighted the concerns over pedestrian safety along the Division Street corridor.
During the open house, community members will learn more about the project, have an opportunity to connect with project staff, and share feedback to help guide the city’s work.
