Pine Eagle’s OHSET team doesn’t horse around when it’s time to win

HALFWAY — The Pine Eagle Spartans Oregon High School Equestrian Team is off to a trot following their second meet of the season. Pine Eagle Spartans Athletics report that team members Lexi DelCurto and Kodi Miller did quite well at the meet that took place March 27th through the 29th at the Eastern Oregon Trade and Event Center in Hermiston.

The Spartans report that Lexi achieved first place in five different events, including Steer Daubing, where she broke her own district record by .049 seconds. She also set a new record in the BiRangle event. 

Kodi placed first in two separate events, and achieved the second-fastest Steer Daubing time in the district.  

OHSET’s Blue Mountain District was formulated in 2024. Their next meet is scheduled take place April 24th through the 26th, again at EOTEC in Hermiston.

1st place- Steer Daubing (0.049 seconds off of her own District Record on one try)

1st place- Break Away Roping

1st place- Canadian Flags

1st place- Sorting

1st place- BiRangle (new record set)

2nd place- Barrel Racing

3rd place- Working Rancher

Kodi Miller:

1st place- In-Hand Trail

1st place- Versatility

2nd place- Steer Daubing

2nd place- Working Pairs

2nd place- Steer Daubing (0.011 seconds off of Lexi’s District Record on one try)

3rd place- Driving

5th place- Showmanship
