RICHLAND — Home economics students at Pine Eagle School District recently brushed up on skills they’ve learned and shared the fruits of that labor with the community. The students worked hard and sponsored the weekly Richland Community Dinner on Tuesday, December 2nd.

The district reports, “They planned the full menu, gathered donations from generous community members, cooked the meal, and served…” Officials also noted the students “…handled the pressure with patience and teamwork.”

Pine Eagle School District posted to their social media that the plan was created “from scratch” by the students. Dessert included cookies made by the Middle School Home Economics class.

Students who were involved cooked the full meal during class periods and after school on Tuesday, December 2nd in preparation for the meal. Students were also responsible for cleanup and handled the task well, according to district officials.

The district added, “We are grateful for all of the community support that helped make this happen. The students represented Pine Eagle with heart.”
