BAKER CITY – Baker County departments that work out of the county courthouse are working through a phone outage and officials say it may last a while.
The Baker County District Attorney’s Office says in a Facebook post that it and the Victim Assistance Office phone lines have been down since Friday, January 19.
According to the DA’s office: “It currently looks as though the line may be down for quite some time. Our tech department is working hard to get them back up and running soon. If you need to contact our office, please call our designated work cell phone number at 541-519-5730. We will update this page as soon as we know our phone line is up again. Thank you.”
Baker County District Attorney Greg Baxter tells Elkhorn Media Group they haven’t found the cause of the phone outage.
Baker County Chair Shane Alderson says that it appears the phones will be down for awhile. He asks that anyone please use email or in person if you need to contact the County.
