BAKER CITY – (Release from the Baker School District) Phil Anderson, currently the Principal at South Baker Intermediate School for students in grades 4 through 6, has announced his plans to fill the district need for a K-6 Math Instructional Coach starting next school year, a role that has gone unfilled for the 2022-23 school year.
“Math has always been a passion of mine, along with collaborating with teachers,” says Mr. Anderson. “When I saw the need go unfulfilled for the current school year, I realized this role was something I was interested in pursuing.”
Superintendent Erin Lair adds, “Phil Anderson is an incredible principal with an impressive instructional leadership capacity. His background in supporting teachers, especially in math instruction, will be a valuable addition. I look forward to our district benefiting from Mr. Anderson’s desire to pursue his passion to work with teachers directly in instruction.”
Mr. Anderson will remain Principal at South Baker Intermediate through the remainder of the 2022-23 school year. The principal opening will be posted online here for those interested.
