WALLA WALLA – Construction crews are scheduled to begin phase two of the State Route 125 and Myra Road intersection project today (Monday), officials announced. The upcoming work focuses on the north half of the intersection, requiring significant traffic revisions.

Starting Wednesday, crews will adjust road striping to implement new traffic patterns. While SR-125 will remain open, traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction. Vehicles will be shifted to navigate around the partially completed southern portion of the new roundabout to allow work to proceed on the northern section.

Myra Road will remain closed between SR-125 and Commercial Drive/Twin Creek Place. Motorists can use detours via Commercial Drive and The Dalles Military Road to maintain access between the two major routes.

Phase one of the roundabout is expected to reach completion by late June.
