Peter Johnson steps down as Anthony Lakes president; ALORA board finds replacement in house

BAKER CITY – The Anthony Lakes Outdoor Recreation Association (ALORA) is bidding farewell to one leader while another organizational veteran steps up in their place.
ALORA President Peter Johnson has announced he accepted a leadership position at Antelope Butte Mountain Recreation Area in Wyoming, which, like Anthony Lakes, is a small, independent, nonprofit ski area.
“On behalf of the ALORA Board, we want to thank Peter Johnson for his dedication to the ALORA mission and his ‘get it done’ leadership over the past 15 years,” said John Wilson, Chairman of the ALORA Board of Directors. “Peter has helped us accomplish the goals of creating affordable outdoor recreation for our region, building kid-friendly outdoor programs available to all youth, and providing year-round family wage jobs for local residents.”
Chelsea Judy, current marketing director and controller, will step into the president role. Judy has been with Anthony Lakes for 15 years.
“I am excited for the opportunity to lead this amazing organization, serve our mission, and work with our solid management team,” Judy said.
Judy has appointed Ian Warner, who also has more than 15 years of experience at Anthony Lakes, to the position of general manager.
These changes will go into effect October 1, ahead of preparations for the upcoming ski season.
