PENDLETON – Families who wish to place grave decorations to honor loved ones at Olney Cemetery on Memorial Day may begin to display items today (Thursday) through May 29. Cemetery staff will collect decorations that remain after June 1 and store anything of value for one week. Those items will be kept in the cemetery office at 865 Tutuilla Road.
The city reminds those leaving memorial items that glass containers are not allowed and metal containers may only be those approved by the cemetery management.
The public is invited to join the Veterans of Foreign Wars Let ’er Buck Post 922 at Olney on Memorial Day (Monday) at 11 a.m. in a special ceremony and wreath preservation.
