PENDLETON – Work continues on the new Flex III hangar. As planned, the facility in the Phase IV UAS Industrial Park should be ready to open in January 2026. The Pendleton UAS Range and the Eastern Oregon Regional Airport are already looking for tenants.

“They’ve got the steel frame up,” Airport Manager Dan Bandel said. “They put the roof on it and they will start pouring the interior floor, probably sometime before December.”

The facility is expected to enhance the airport’s ability to serve a diverse range of both aviation and UAS tenants. The 18,000-square-foot building is in a prime location with direct taxiway access.

It will consist of three 66-foot wide by 74-foot deep open bays. The bi-fold electric doors will be 60-feet wide and 16-feet tall.

Other features include heated, epoxied floors; a fully-rated mezzanine space; secure, gated access with ample parking; an attached heated and cooled office space; and water, power, and up to 10 Gbps fiber.

Bandel says that interest is already high in leasing one of the hangars.
