PENDLETON – The Pendleton Ice Sports Booster Association is expressing gratitude to the community after reaching a fundraising goal of $130,000 to purchase new dasher boards for the Pendleton ice rink rebuild.
“These dasher boards are necessary for our hockey program to continue operating and will make skating much safer for the public as well as the hockey program,” said the organization in a news release. “We appreciate (Donors) support and willingness to help us with our project.”
Donors for the project were:

Stanley Cup Level – $5,000 to $10,000

The city of Pendleton, which operates the ice rink, also wanted to recognize the Oregon State Parks Local Government Grant Programs for providing over $334,000 in grant funding towards the ice rink rebuild project.
The Pendleton Ice Rink at Roy Raley Park is planning to open this winter after being closed during the last season because of the rebuild project.
