PENDLETON – (News release from PFM) The Pendleton Farmers Market will open its 23rd season at 4 p.m. Friday, May 3, on the 300 and 400 blocks of Main Street.
The market runs from 4-7 p.m. every Friday from May through mid-October, except for Round-Up week.
“We are excited to begin another season in downtown Pendleton featuring our great produce and crafts vendors,” said PFM President Hal McCune. “We had our busiest year ever last season, and we expect the momentum to continue.”
Market vendors reported nearly $200,000 in sales last season. The nonprofit Pendleton Farmers Market Association operated on a budget of $73,000. Both were record numbers for the market.
In addition to a variety of produce and craft vendors, the market features live music, food samples and children’s activities. The Oregon Farmers Market Association named the Pendleton Farmers Market the Outstanding Small or Rural Market of the Year in 2020.
