LA GRANDE — Former La Grande High and Wyoming quarterback Andrew Peasley has his sights set on the biggest stage.
Peasley announced that he is declaring for this year’s NFL Draft via a post on Facebook. In the post he writes:
“My two years at Wyoming have been the best years of my life. Through the ups and downs, wins and losses, I am blessed to be a Cowboy.
Thank you, Coach Bohl and Coach Polasek, for taking a chance on a kid and believing in me to the end. I want to also say thanks to the Wyoming fan base. Your loyalty to this program will always be noticed.
Thank you, teammates, for a warm welcome when I arrived in Laramie. We faced a lot of adversity together and always managed to get back up. Love y’all.
With that being said, I am declaring for the 2024 NFL Draft.
Take ’em to the deep end. Go Pokes!”
Peasley graduated from La Grande High in 2018, having signed with Utah State to play quarterback. After four years, he transferred to Wyoming, where he earned the starting spot.
In his last year in Laramie, Peasley threw for 1,991 yards and 20 touchdowns with just five interceptions. He also rushed for 419 yards and seven touchdowns while leading the Cowboys to a 9-4 record and a victory over Toledo in the Arizona Bowl.
Elkhorn Media Group has reached out to Peasley for comment on his next steps.
He has yet to be ranked in any NFL Draft scouting report.
