PENDLETON – The Pendleton Development Commission meets at 6 p.m. today (Tuesday), followed by a meeting of the Pendleton City Council at 7 p.m. The PDC is the same body as the council and handles the urban renewal programs for the city.
At the first meeting, the commission will vote on approving the audit report for the current fiscal year and on approving a new budget for the fiscal year that begins July 1. The PDC will also be updated on the city’s Path to Success business plan competition.
The city council consent agenda includes a liquor license application for the new owner and manager of the Hotel Pendleton, formerly the Marigold, on Southeast Court Avenue. The application has been approved by Pendleton Police Chief Chuck Byram.
Also on the consent agenda is renewing the contract the city has with City Manager Robb Corbett. It includes a 4.5 percent cost of living increase that City Attorney Nancy Kearns says is in keeping with other city department heads. The new salary will total $150,167 a year. The contract also proposes a continuation of the $3,600 a year car allowance plan.
Both meetings are in council chambers of Pendleton City Hall. They are accessible via Zoom. The meeting ID is 814 2489 9993 and the pass code is 218401.
