Payette County Sheriff’s Office seeks public assistance in identifying suspect in I-84 shooting

FRUITLAND IDAHO – On the morning of Thursday, January 23, the Payette County (Idaho) Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported shooting along I-84 near milepost 2, south of Fruitland. Law enforcement is currently seeking public assistance in identifying the individual responsible for the shooting. This morning at 10:50 a.m., the Payette County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of shots fired on I-84 near milepost 2.

The victims, who were unharmed, reported that the driver of a dark-colored, newer model Subaru Outback drove alongside their vehicle, a black Nissan Sentra, pointed a pistol, and fired a shot. The suspect is described as a bald, White man with facial hair.
