PASCO – Pasco Police Chief Ken Roske will retire on March 27 concluding 39-and-a-half years of service with the department, city officials announced Monday.
Roske’s career with the Pasco Police Department began in September 1986. He rose through the ranks as a sergeant, captain, and deputy chief before being appointed to the top post in October 2019.
During his tenure as chief, Roske oversaw the launch of regional training academies and worked to modernize department operations. City Manager Harold Stewart credited Roske with strengthening professional standards and building community trust.
“We wish him the very best but will greatly miss his experience and leadership,” Stewart said in a statement.
Roske said serving the city has been one of his greatest professional honors. He will work with city leaders to manage the transition before his final day.
