Pasco officer shot, wounded while making arrest

PASCO – Pasco police officer Jeremy Jones was shot while making an arrest Thursday afternoon around 1:30 p.m., according to Chief Ken Roske. He is listed in stable condition and is recovering at a local hospital.

Jones is a 16 year veteran of the department and is currently assigned to patrol.

Devontea Wright, 27, was arrested on his nationwide extraditable arrest warrant for first-degree assault, related to a recent shooting in Kennewick. He was booked into the Benton County Jail.

At the request of Chief Roske, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is handling this investigation.
