PENDLETON – The Empty the Shelters initiative continues at the Pendleton Animal Welfare Shelter. Those who would like to meet their pets are invited to a party this evening (Thursday) from 5-7 p.m.
The event will be at the shelter at 517 S.E. Third St. In addition to getting up close and personal with the animals available for adoption, people can also purchase food from Magpie of Pendleton.
Empty the Shelters is sponsored by the Bissell Pet Foundation. Thanks to its support. PAWS volunteers are able to lower the cost of adoptions. For those who can’t make the party, the reduced rates will be in effect through July 31. Dogs and kittens can be adopted for $50 each while adult cats are available for $25.
More information is available by calling 541-276-0181 or visiting the Pendleton PAWS website.
