UMATILLA AND WALLA WALLA COUNTY – A joint emergency operation center including the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office, Umatilla County Emergency Management and Walla Walla County Emergency Management remain actively engaged with the incident management team for the Paradise, Hagen and Horse Ridge fires.
Effectively immediately these following evacuation levels have been issued n Umatilla County and Walla Walla County related to the Paradise Fire, located about 10 miles southeast of Walla Walla. Additionally, a red flag warning has been issued for today (Friday) and Saturday by the National Weather Service.
UMATILLA COUNTY
The Level 2 (GET SET) area includes all residences east of Tiger Canyon Road on the north and south side of Mill Creek Road.
WALLA WALLA COUNTY
The Level 2 (GET SET) area includes
Road closures in Walla Walla County include:
• Mccown Road at US Highway 12 to Wilson Hollow Road and including the following
roads:
• Coppei Road
• South Fork Coppei Road
• North Fork Coppei Road
• Leid Road
• Lewis Peak Road at US Highway 12 to the end of the road and including the following
roads:
• Clancy Road
• Dent Road
• Mud Creek Road at US Highway 12 to Lewis Peak Road.
• Biscuit Ridge Road at Third Street (Dixie) to end of the road.
• Blacksnake Ridge Road at Tracy / Blue Creek / Spring Creek Intersection to end of the
road.
The public is cautioned to remain extremely vigilant and proactively monitor surrounding fire activity. Fire conditions can change rapidly and unpredictably. Do not wait for an official evacuation order if you feel unsafe or see immediate danger. Leave without delay. Residents are also cautioned to be aware of the presence of fire apparatuses, emergency response vehicles, fire crews and law enforcement operating throughout the area.
