Palmer sentenced to Grant County Jail for menacing, violating probation

CANYON CITY – It’ll be back to the county jail for a man who had multiple violations on his probation. Travis Alexander Palmer, 36, pleaded guilty to Menacing, committed in June of this year.

Our newsroom has previously reported that Palmer in 2025 was convicted on six counts of Taking, Angling, Hunting, or Trapping in Violation of Wildlife Law or Rule. On those charges, Palmer ‘s hunting license was revoked for life, he spent over two months in jail, and was fined over $22,000.

For the most recent crimes, Palmer was sentenced to a total of 366 days in jail and 12 months on post prison supervision. Details around the menacing charge were not released.
