WALLOWA COUNTY – The Pacific Power Foundation recently announced its latest round of arts and cultural grants. In total, 63 organizations were selected across Oregon, with a final allocation of $173,760 dollars. Two Wallowa County organizations made the final list. In a release announcing the awards, Pacific Power president and Pacific Power Foundation director Ryan Flynn was quoted as remarking:
“We appreciate the important contributions of these local programs, which foster community engagement through theater, festivals and celebrations of cultural heritage.”
The two organizations specifically selected from Wallowa County were the Josephy Center for Arts and Culture and Music Camps @ Wallowa Lake. Pacific Power did not disclose the specific amount allocated, though most grants given by The Foundation are between $2,000 and $5,000.
