Outdoors RV Veteran, Darin Nelson to Retire

LA GRANDE – La Grande, Oregon-based RV manufacturer, Outdoors RV Manufacturing (ORV) has announced RV industry veteran Darin Nelson is retiring. Nelson is winding up his 29-year career as the Sales Manager at ORV. Over the past 12 years, Mr. Nelson helped form and oversee the diverse and robust ORV dealer network. Darin has been an influential presence at Outdoors RV since its inception in 2009.
Nelson began his career with Fleetwood before becoming a key player in the management team that helped form Outdoors RV Manufacturing. Nelson has been consistently instrumental in developing all product lines, their content and how they have been marketed.
Donald Cochran, Chief Sales Officer at Outdoors RV stated, “Darin is and always has been a tremendous member of the ORV Team. We will absolutely miss his depth of experience and input for what a well-featured, ‘Mountain Tough’ RV can and should be. Even more importantly, we will all miss our daily interactions with Darin as he is a genuinely good person who always brings boundless enthusiasm and good cheer to everyone around him. One of Darin’s greatest strengths is his ability to build and maintain genuine, long-lasting relationships in both his professional and personal life. We wish him all the best in retirement.”
ORV CFO and General Manager, Cerise Smallwood went on to say, “We wish to thank Darin for his incredible dedication and commitment to ORV, our dealers and customers. He is a true professional and we will certainly miss his energy and leadership. We wish Darin well as he enters into this next chapter of his life.”
Nelson himself concluded, “I want to personally thank every member of the ORV team for their dedication in providing our dealers and customers with the highest quality RV experience possible. It has been an amazing journey and I will miss it more than I can say. This industry has been very good to me, and it has been an overwhelmingly fun ride. The excitement of developing and selling products for people to enjoy in the great outdoors has never left me. What I will miss the most are all the truly outstanding people I’ve had the great fortune to work for and with – I thank you all and I hope to see you down the trail!”
