BAKER CITY – (Release from OTEC) Oregon Trail Electric Cooperative (OTEC) is excited to announce that it is transferring all payment processing services back to Eastern Oregon. Beginning this month, all mail-in payments will be processed at OTEC’s headquarters in Baker City, Oregon. Each local district office will retain the drop-box service as well.

“This change is in direct response to OTEC member-owners feedback and requests to keep services local.” said Heidi Dalton, OTEC’s Chief Financial Officer. “We’re thrilled to be able to increase our service to our members by bringing back our mail-in payment processing services.”

This change is possible due to technology efficiencies and the increasing use of online and app payments. It will also expedite processing time with reduced delivery time of mail-in payments.

For our member-owners that use automatic bill-pay through their bank, we ask you to login to your account or contact your bank and update OTEC’s mailing address to: PO Box 226, Baker City, Oregon, 97814. Payment stubs that accompany your monthly bill will reflect this change beginning with your October statement.
