OTEC and PacifiCorp end discussions on Wallowa County transfer

WALLOWA COUNTY (Press Release from OTEC) In March 2026, Oregon Trail Electric Cooperative (OTEC) and PacifiCorp (Pacific Power) announced they had entered into a non-binding agreement to explore the potential transfer of PacifiCorp’s distribution assets serving Wallowa County, Oregon.

After completing thorough due diligence and assessment over the last four months, both organizations have mutually determined that the potential transaction would not be in the best interest of either electric service provider.

OTEC and PacifiCorp have a strong working relationship and will continue to operate as neighboring utilities.
