BAKER CITY – (Release from OTEC) As a member-owned cooperative, Oregon Trail Electric Cooperative (OTEC) is guided by the Seven Cooperative Principles. As part of its continuing commitment to the seventh principle, Concern for Community, OTEC, through the OTEC Member Foundation, is proud to once again offer scholarships to eligible students and adults in its service territory.
As of Wednesday, November 15, applications for OTEC’s academic scholarships are open. Scholarships are available to high school and home-schooled seniors, returning college students and adults. The following scholarship programs are available:
Recipients will be selected based on their applications, including letters of recommendation, academic performance and community or club involvement. Applications for all academic scholarships will be open until March 17, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. Applications for lineman and trade school scholarships are open year-round and will be awarded until funds are exhausted.
“OTEC and the OTEC Member Foundation continue to provide incredible support for our communities,” said Shane Stenquist, OTEC’s Manager of Communications. “The commitment to providing education and training opportunities for our member-owners and their families is something we are all incredibly proud to be a part of.”
