OSP SWAT team responds to call for wanted subject in Ontario

ONTARIO – (Release from the Malheur County Sheriff’s Office)

On January 11, 2024 the High Desert Drug Task Force (HDDTF) developed information on the
whereabouts of a wanted subject thought to be in the Ontario area.

The subject has a felony warrant for his arrest. The Oregon State Police (OSP) SWAT team was called to respond.

Unfortunately, the main target of the operation was not located. However, one female was
taken into custody. She is suspected of having felony and misdemeanor warrants but at this
time we are still working to confirm her identity.

The investigation into the apprehension of the original suspect is ongoing.

The operation was carried out by members of the High Desert Drug Task Force, Oregon State
Police, Ontario Police, and the Malheur County Sheriff’s Office.

Sincerely,

Travis Johnson
Sheriff, Malheur County
