BAKER COUNTY — Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers located a missing juvenile from Beaverton and issued citations for custodial interference following a traffic stop on Interstate 84.

On Friday, May 30 just before 12:30pm, OSP received a request to locate the missing juvenile. Troopers identified and stopped the suspect vehicle, a red and white 1995 Ford F150 pulling a camp trailer, near milepost 295 eastbound at the Baker Valley Rest Area.

The driver, Eric Elton Egnor, 42, of St. Helens, Oregon, was cited for Custodial Interference II and Carrying a Concealed Weapon. The adult female passenger, Allyson Lee Huntzman, 27, also of St. Helens, was cited for Custodial Interference II.

The 15-year-old female juvenile was transported to the Baker City OSP office, where the Department of Human Services (DHS) took custody to determine her next steps.

Both Egnor and Huntzman were issued citations in lieu of custody and have court dates pending for their respective charges.

Oregon State Police say Troopers have discretion to cite in lieu of custody based on the circumstances (facts) of the investigation.

“In this investigation, a citation in lieu of custody was deemed to be an effective response to the incident,” said Captain Kyle Kennedy of the Oregon State Police.
