ENTERPRISE, OR – (Information from the Superintendent of the Enterprise School District, Tom Crane) Last week the district received its second OSHA complaint about noncompliance with mask wearing in our schools. OSHA requires a response to these complaints and a plan to correct these issues. They do not ask if these complaints are true, just what the District is going to do to fix the issues addressed within the complaint. OSHA then looks at the proposed solutions and decides if they meet approval or if further action is needed.
I can assure you that we spend time every school day encouraging and enforcing both mask wearing and proper mask wearing. In addition we will now ask parents and family members to not come into school district buildings during school hours without an appointment. We will not have parents at class parties until further notice. If you are dropping off food please bring items to the office and we will deliver them to the proper location. If you have an appointment please be sure to wear a mask. We will evaluate how we are conducting our assemblies and update you with our progress. If parents or families come into the school during non-school hours, please wear masks. Enterprise has done a great job keeping our schools open when other districts across the state have gone to on-line learning. Our goal is to keep in-person learning in place. Your cooperation is appreciated as part of our efforts to stay open.
