Harney County driver jailed following traffic stop

HARNEY COUNTY-On Friday, March 22, 2024, Oregon State Police stopped a white GMC pick-up for speeding on HWY 78 near milepost 13 in Harney County.

A probation stipulation through Deschutes County indicated the driver, Bruce Lee Kremer, 60, of Redmond was not to be in contact with the passenger, Christina Hammack, 49, of Prineville, or possess firearms. A firearm was recovered from the vehicle, along with less than 2 grams of suspected methamphetamine.

The probation officer was contacted, and a detainer was placed on Kremer.

Kremer was subsequently lodged at the Harney County Jail for violations. The charge for unlawful possession of a firearm was referred to the Harney County District Attorney’s Office for consideration.
