Burns, Or- On Thursday, 10/27/22, at about 1354 hours, Oregon State Police conducted a traffic stop on a blue Chrysler 300C (ID 1BE709U) for Failure to Display Out of State Plates and Following Too Closely.
Evidence of criminal activity was observed by the driver Patrick Michael O’Conner and passenger Cory William Beck and a consent search was granted by the driver. The search recovered the following: 8.7 pounds total package weight (TPW) of green marijuana, 27.1 pounds TPW of homemade marijuana extract, and a Taurus G2C pistol loaded with 12 rounds. Both the driver and passenger admitted to procuring the drugs in Southern Oregon and that they had planned to return to Idaho in order to distribute the drugs.
Both were issued citations in lieu of custody for Import/Export of Non OLCC Extract, Import/Export of over 16 oz of Usable Marijuana, Attempted Delivery of over 8 pounds of Usable Marijuana, Possession of Over 1/4 oz Non OLCC Extract, and Possession of Over 8 pounds of Usable Marijuana. The driver was also issued a citation in lieu of custody for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
