Oregon spring turkey season begins April 15

EASTERN OREGON – It’s the changing of the seasons, both in terms of weather and hunting. For those interested in turkey hunting, Oregon’s spring turkey season officially opens April 15 and lasts through May 31. The daily bag limit is set to one male turkey, or turkey with a visible beard, with the seasonal bag limit set to 3. ODFW reminds hunters that, “it is unlawful to obtain and possess more than three 2024 statewide spring turkey tags.”

The 2024 spring youth turkey hunt is scheduled for April 13-14, just prior to the start of the spring season. The daily (and technically seasonal) bag limit for youth hunts is one male or visibly bearded turkey. Hunters are required to possess a 2024 youth general spring turkey tag. Youth with unfilled tags may use them during the spring season.
