EASTERN OREGON โ€“ (Release from Oregon State Parks) What do you think of e-bikes humming along trails in state parks?

If you have an opinion on the matter, Oregon Parks wants to hear from you!

The agency is asking for the publicโ€™s opinion about e-bikes and other electric mobility devices used in Oregon State Parks.

โ€œEarlier this year, the Oregon Legislature adopted a 3-class classification system for e-bikes based on the type of motor, level of electric assistance and speed capabilities,โ€ the agency said.

Currently, under Oregon law, e-bikes may ride on bicycle trails 8 feet and wider unless otherwise marked at Oregon State Parks or on beaches where motor vehicles are allowed.

The online survey, which takes only a few minutes to complete, allows the public to share their experiences, concerns, and opinions regarding e-bikes and e-micro mobility devices.

Participants can also enter a drawing for an annual state parks parking permit upon completion of the survey. Responses will be accepted until midnight on August 31, 2024.

You can find the survey here.
