Oregon Heritage Commission Awards Grants to Eastern Oregon Museum Projects

BAKER & WALLOWA COUNTIES – (Information from the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department) The Oregon Heritage Commission recently awarded $77,582 worth of grants to 12 museums across the state to support various projects and updates. This is part of the Oregon Museum Grant Program, with individual grants ranging from $3,315 – $8,000. Of the recipients, two Eastern Oregon Museums made the list:

  • “Sumpter Valley Railroad Restoration, Inc., in Baker County, to complete work on the new archives building.”
  • “Josephy Center for Arts and Culture, in Joseph, to update and create traveling exhibits.”
